Noble Out for a Month

Mark Noble has been ruled out for a month after having surgery to remove his appendix last night.

This is really bad news for West Ham. Not only has Noble looked really good in the last couple of games West Ham are also really light in central midfield. Thomas Hitzlsperger is also ruled out until the new year which leaves West Ham with the hapless Kovac to partner Parker.

West Ham really need to pick up points in November. That task now look a lot harder. I'm beginning to think that we are doomed to relegation this season.

Terrible news, the though of Kovac playing with Parker, and possibly three man midfield with Boa Morte, does not sound good.

I think it's too early to say we'll get relagated, but I take your point about feeling 'doomed', with the Hitzlsperger injury and Piquionne's disallowed goal, it's starting to feel like one thing after another. I still think we've got a good chance of picking up points in the next few games though.

ps. Did you see my comment on the last post? It would be great to include you in the westhamutdnews feed if you would like to be in it.

real hammer blow, pardon the pun - he's been instrumental for us this season and now showing his true potential since we saw glimmers of it a few years back in 2007, he was amazing for us at the Emirates, was it me or was he the only one who had a shot for us...judging by the one side editing of MOTD....did anyone go to the game?

As bad as it looks with Noble out,a a central midfield of Parker and Behrami ,with two of Dyer,Barrera and Boa Morte shud see us through November. Kovac shud not need to be used ,bar as a late sub. Piquionne and Obinna are also able to play a wide midfield position if need be, so it need not be all doom and gloom. Having watched bits of fixtures involving Newcastle,Sunderland,West Brom and Blackpool recently,we have it within our grasp to turn things around. The issue is whether is the players are mentally strong enough to do the business and cope with the pressure
