Upson to be Sold in January?
The People claim that West Ham are after Swansea winger Joe Allen. It says West Ham will make a £2.5 million bid for the player in January. The paper also says that QPR player Jamie Mackie is a target but is too expensive at £3 million.
The People also claim that West Ham will sell Matthew Upson in January for a small fee as they can't afford for him to leave on a free at the end of the season. The paper says West Ham will let him go for £3 million.
According to Talk Sport Junior Stanislas is set to be loaned to Leeds for the rest of the season.

The 3 million cut price fee is not worth it if it results in relegation. why risk 100 million pounds for 3 million? It is lunacy. Premiership survival is the only thing that matters. Not 3 million pounds. If we need 3 million pounds that badly,then sell Stanislas,Sears,Hines,Tomkins and Spector etc. for small fees,but not a player like Upson,who we need to stay up,even if he's not perfect.
Upson will take us down.
I think we can read a lot into the sale (if it goes ahead) about the club's finances. We'd be risking performance on the pitch to avoid him going for free in the summer.
Let him go he doesnt want to play for us then dont play him , we have coped without him so bring in tomkins l know that he has made mistakes but so do others,get as much as we can and buy an attacking midfielder from hamberg ilia eljero, have a look at him on youtube
To the genius who is so in love with our "young stars"? Do you not get it? If we go down, because we concede too many goals,even more so after selling Upson ,then we are finished. End of. Not only will we be selling every single senior player ,but every young player as well. We are 85 million in debt. If we go down,then we have no chance of paying a penny of that off.
