As with Upson,no point in selling ,as we risk relegation if we do. We cannot get adequate replacements in the window on our budget if we sell Upson or Gabbidon. Ilunga is unreliable ,and he is the one who shud be sold, not Gabbidon. Along with Sears,Spector and anyone else surplus to requirements . Like Carlton Cole
I agree, let him go on a free at the season if he wants to go! But we need them Upson and Gabs until then!
You are right 1.45 but would buy our rubbish in the current climate? Would we buy makeweights from say Wigan or Fulham? People will only want Parker, Green or the like in January anyway. Doubt if anyone will want Upson for nothing at the season end either despite efforts by his mates at the Mail and Depress to sell him
If somebody would give us something for gabbidon, why wouldn't we take it now? Granted Ilunga hasnt played well, but Gabs is replaced by tomkins, who played well this weekend/ ben-haim(is he hurt?) just fine at centerback and Ilunga/reid/ and even Specs who has shown that he is capable of playing alright though hes been on a poor run of late could take the side. People like him, kovac and cole, if somebody is willing to take them, why not get money for them, it would open us some room where we could at least try to get some younger people in over the next transfer period.
I don't agree with that Brian, Gabs is one of our best center back we ain't gonna get more than a couple of mill for him anyway!
