West Ham Appeal to High Court

The Times say that West Ham will lodge an appeal in the High Court this week against the FA tribunal panel's decision. The High Court appeal needs to be submitted by Thursday.

The Times say that West Ham "will have to show that the panel made an error of law or came to incorrect findings of facts when it made its judgement last month." The High Court appeal is in addition to the appeal already launched with CAS.

In other news, The Telegraph are reporting that West Ham are close to a new shirt sponsorship deal. The Telegraph claim that the new deal "will at least match the estimated £4m a year paid by XL, and possibly exceed it."

You would think that the club were trying to persuade people that they are on a sound financial footing.
