Valon Behrami Latest

Sky Sports have today caught up with the rest of the world and are saying that West Ham are favourites to clinch the signing of Valon Behrami. However, whereas reports early in the week said West Ham would pick him up for £2-3 million compensation as Behrami would buy out his contract, Sky suggest that Lazio have agreed to sell the right sided player for £5.2 million.


Speaking after yesterday's opening pre-season friendly Alan Curbishley indicated that West Ham were looking to bring in one or two players before the transfer window close,

"There's a long way to go before that window closes and we want to improve the squad.

"I feel that if I get my best XI out there we've got a decent side. I want to add a little bit more to that to get a bit more competition and we're working very hard to do that."
