West Ham Sunday Gossip

The News of the World and The Mail both say that Zola has told the West Ham board that he will quit if they go back on promises that they have made to him.

The People say that West Ham are actively trying to sell Dean Ashton in January.

Football Rumours has the best tinfoil on head theory of the day. They say West Ham have learnt their lessons of a few seasons ago when everyone knew they were cash rich because of new owners and therefore West Ham were forced to pay way over the odds to sign players. So, the theory goes, West Ham are using the 'credit crunch' to pretend they are skint and Zola actually has a large list of players he will be trying to buy.

So the collapse of the Icelandic economy was engineered by Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson so that West Ham could save a few million when buying a couple of football players.
